#SubscribeSaturday #4: No Sacred Cows

The Fourth Entry today is my friend No Sacred Cows.

No Sacred Cows is a bit different, in a good way! His videos are longer but tackle subjects like White Nationalism, Free-Speech, and Trucking. Trust me he is great and very knowledgeable about what he discusses.

His intro cracks me up as well. Every time I see the scrolling text I laugh. No Sacred Cows has a dry comical wit that I really enjoy. It reminds me of Steven Wright or Bob Newhart. Perhaps I just showed my age a little bit there. lol

Not only are his videos good but in the last few months he’s become one of my favorites on Twitter. He always has something to add to a conversation and sometimes he can really hit you with a shockingly funny tweet.

Thank you No Sacred Cows for just being you! You make some great videos and you deserve far more subscribers than you currently have. Please everyone check him out and subscribe!

Hammy The Apologetic Clown: Abortion

First off…this is satire!

Today, Hammy the apologetic Clown talks about a controversial topic, Abortion. Did you know that Planned Parenthood carries out 4.5 Trillion abortions every year? It’s true, it’s really true!

Anyway, I posted this video and a few minutes later I got blocked by Ken Ham on Twitter. Was it this video that did it? Probably not, but I can pretend right? lol

Satanic Sundays

Satanic Sunday #11: Technological Advancements

Good morning all of you heathens and hell-bound friends and foes alike! I couldn’t sleep tonight and so I figured if you can’t sleep, write! No idea how well this sleep deprived post will go but let’s get to it anyway. For last weeks Satanic Sunday, click here:Satanic Sunday: Final Fantasy

666

So this post was meant to be about the internet and yet looking up information for this post I found that the internet was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Christians viewing technology as satanic. As I researched I remembered instances of being in people’s homes who felt that these things were evil and how appalled they were to find that my parents had no problem with them. They believed that by my parents allowing my brother and I to enjoy the benefits of certain technological advancements it might lead to us rejecting the church and entering the world of atheism. How silly of them…my brother is still a theist. Anyway, let’s get to it, Satanic advancements in history….

evil car

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Technology is always looking for ways to improve our lives, make them easier, more comfortable, and less stressful. I’m not sure how well they do since technology opens up a whole new world of stress but the goal is to make things easier.  To the biblical believer, making things easier is to fight against gods plan for us on earth and is of course the work of the devil. Life is supposed to be hard because the bible says it’s supposed to be hard.

So it should come as little shock that when mass transit and automobiles came into the picture there were god botherers there to try to stop it. Both trains and automobiles were considered too fast and too dangerous for any good Christian to ever consider owning. At 35 MPH that wind might just rip your wife’s dress clean off and have her nakedness exposed to the world. Planes on the other hand were considered evil because they were trying to improve on mankind, by adding flight to our set of skills.

“If god has meant for man to fly he would have been born with wings!”

To improve upon gods creation is to say that he didn’t do a great job at it and that it needs improving. God created this world perfect and we are the ones that messed it up, so how dare we attempt to do something contrary to his plan. Yet millions fly each day without incurring the wrath of this supposed insecure god. How weird?

radio

Radio

Radio was considered sinful because of what it was going to bring into your home, secular music and programming. Why would any christian want to listing to big band music when instead they could hum a hymn while reading the good book? Radio not only brought music into the homes of millions but it also brought dramas, gritty crime programs, comedies, and seductive programs.  The fear here is that people would turn away from their scriptural teachings and become a boozing womanizing sinful leach upon society.

telephone

Telephones

What could possibly be more sinful than little Jane staying up late on Saturday night talking to Bobby. Jane should be getting rest in preparation for morning services and Bobby obviously had only one thing on his mind, leading Jane into temptation. Hell, for all we know Bobby might be smoking a weed while he talks to Jane and the devils smoke could pierce straight through those lines and into Jane’s unwilling womb, bringing to life the anti-christ and the end of the world.

Telephones brought the world closer together and most churches were fairly small, hometown operations, that were the end all and be all of salvation. Talking to your friend, who lived on the other side of the country about matters of faith, might allow you both to realize that though you both claim Christianity as your faith, your beliefs can be miles apart.

The telephone can be blamed for another creation that possibly is evil and diabolical…the troll. When telephones were new, each house was interconnected, and so everyone’s phone line was connected to everyone else. A person could enter into your conversation with a good friend and start messing with both of you. Not really anything to do with this post but I thought it interesting.

devil

Television

The “One Eyed Devil” is what I have heard the television referred to by many in my childhood. Lot’s of folks in Pentecostal circles refused to own a TV, those that did fell into two categories.

  • Those like my parents who loved TV and saw that it had the potential for both good and evil.
  • Those that loved TV but pretended to only use them for religious programming.

Many of the reasons that people saw the TV as sinful are actually crossovers with the Radio so I don’t feel the need to repeat them again. TV though had the ability to bring images into your home of violence and sex. TV was also something that everyone wanted and so it was considered by some in the fundamentalist realm as a version of the “Mark of the Beast.” The mark of the beast is what sinful people in the end times will wear upon their body in order to buy, sell, and survive. Just about any technology can be claimed to be the mark of the beast as long as it’s a new technology and people really want to own it.

I can personally remember going into homes that didn’t own a tv, or if they did, their TV was turned around to face the wall or covered in a blanket. I guess Christians believed the same thing as children in those days, monsters and evil cannot possibly get through a blanket.

14.4

The Internet

It is honestly funny to me how evil the internet was considered to be and still is by many of religious faith. Yet, if you’re old enough, I want you to think about what the internet was like in the early 1990’s. You were lucky if you could even get connected to the damn thing, let alone commit any act of evil on it. Hell a single pornographic image could take an hour to download on a 14.4k modem….and yes kids, the internet used to move at the speed of 14.4 kilobytes per second.

The internet was evil because of what it opened up to you, the entire world. You no longer had to believe the people in your local community or even the televangelist on the TV, you could actively research matters on your own. Sure, before the internet we had access to information through encyclopedias and libraries but the internet put this information at your fingertips. Even if it might take several hours to get to where you needed to be on a single Geocities website, complete with awful midi background music.

The internet was also compared to the mark of the beast but people didn’t really care. Sure many Christian homes refused to even entertain the idea of the internet, at least in the short-term, but even the most stringent of believers will admit to its usefulness. My grandfather thinks the internet is completely the work of Satan and yet has, at numerous times, asked me to look things up for him when he felt the need. I guess I am immune to the power of Satan, or he really doesn’t care all that much.

Anyway, Technological advancements had long been praised by the secular world and hated by the religious world, until such a time that the religious world finds a use for that technology. Transportation was evil until ministers realized they could draw larger crowds from many miles away, that meant more money and more souls for the lord….but definitely more money. TV and Radio were evil until ministers found ways to broadcast themselves and rake in millions. Telephones were evil and yet how could anyone sow their seed of faith to the 700 club without dialing that 1-800 number on the screen. Finally, the internet was evil until everyone started using it, religious websites popped up overnight, and the gospel was spread even further….which once again means more coin in the pockets of con artist preachers.

New technology will always be considered evil by the religious establishment, at least up until the point they figure out how to harness its profitability.

Weekend Tube

Weekend Tube 02/03/2018

Good Morning Heathens and Hell-Bound friends and foes alike! It’s time once again for my favorite videos of the week. Last week we did a top 10 but I think I prefer the top 5 from the week prior as well as what I consider the video of the week. So without further ado, here are my favorites from this week.

Honorable Mention: Anti-Ordinary: RE: FreedomWars

Any video that takes Alex Jones to task deserves a mention here on this blog. Jones does nothing but make an ass of himself on a daily basis and I think his idiocy needs spread as far and wide as it possibly can be. The way to defeat a stupid idea is to let the stupid run free.

#5 Godless Engineer: Red Pill Religion Claims Popular Atheists Suffer Cognitive Dissonance

Are popular atheists drowning in a world of cognitive dissonance? Red Pill believes this to be the case because he presented shitty non-evidence for the existence of a soul and now all atheists are dying inside…. Ok, truthfully his evidence was just like any other evidence provided by these types, shoddy at best, and at worst it has nothing to do with what they claim it does. Enjoy!

#4 Seth Andrews: Secular State of the Union

Seth Andrews presents an excellent take on the state of the union according to secular standards. Andrews lays it all out there and if you watched the actual state of the union you will probably think this video is way more bigly cool and yugely inspirational.

#3 Holy Koolaid: The Atheist State of the Union 2018

Holy Koolaid really inspires me in this video. Even though it is much harder for someone to enter in to activism today, with sources of income being removed, the amount of amazing YouTubers, Podcasters, and Bloggers, who promote positive atheism, is amazing. Thank you for making this video!

#2 Godless Engineer: KC’s Corner: Jehovah’s Witness Elders Tell Us How to Stay Clean For Jehovah

Since watching this video I still don’t understand how some religious people can believe certain things are masturbation. I mean if your underwear rubs you the wrong way you’re now going to hell…..and that has to be some underwear…. Anyway this is a great video for KC who is just starting make videos herself, I think you will really enjoy it.

#1 Telltale Atheist: How To Get Rid Of Jehovahs Witnesses

Living with a town that contains not just a huge Mormon church but also a Jehovah’s Witness temple, we are constantly being visited by someone trying to spread the good news of their dogma. I can’t believe someone would sick a dog on people, that is awful. A lot of good information here, don’t be rude, just let them know you aren’t interested in their beliefs.

Video of the Week: Godless Cranium: Atheists Have No Meaning or Purpose?

For the second week in a row, Godless Cranium tops the list. This video is in response to the theist argument that atheists have no purpose in life. Guess what, we do! My purpose is to learn, love, and make people laugh. If I can do those three things I feel like my life is meaningful, blissful, and amazing. Thanks, GC for making this video, you are awesome!

Weekend Tube

Weekend Tube 01/26/18

Good evening Heathens and Hell-Bound Friends and Foes alike.  Welcome, once again, to your one stop shop for some great videos to check out this weekend. There’s going to be a few more videos this week than last because it was a pretty damn good week for videos. If you think I’ve missed anything, let me know. Just so you all know….the ranking is pretty well arbitrary but helps move things along. Also most of these videos are recent but at the same time this article is about the videos I enjoyed the most this week not necessarily the ones that were made in the past week.

#10 Professor Stick: “Outrageous Coffee Treatment is Outrageous”

Holy shit….literally…. I loved this video because it’s informative and because I’ve tried doing a coffee enema in the past and well…it was a really bad experience and I also shot coffee all over my bathroom….but yeah….Coffee enemas are pretty much shit….

#9 Godless Engineer: “ASAPScience Fails At Mathematically Proving God Exists”

I cannot possibly tell you how hard I laughed at the question, “Why is god wearing a tiara?” Godless Engineer returns to the list this week with a very funny take-down of a very stupid video. Also an extra 10 points for the fucking awesome Ninja Turtle Beanie.

Number 8: Holy Koolaid “Testing Psychics with Science”

Holy Koolaid is a fantastic channel with a lot of great videos. In this video he talks about the claims of psychics and how we might test those claims. Spoiler: Psychics are full of shit but it doesn’t stop them from using people each and every day.

Number 7: Paulogia “Genetic Entropy. We’re all DOOMED! – Creation Today Claims”

This is actually from a series of videos, all of which are excellent. Paulogia is great at taking down Creation Today’s arguments and his deadpan style is absolutely hilarious at times. I think you are really going to enjoy this one.

Number 6: Cosmological “Bad Analogies Don’t Prove God”

New to Youtube, Cosmological gives Paulogia a run for his money when it comes to the deadpan style of humor. He really knows his stuff and still manages to bring a lot of humor to the table. Check him out and if you like it subscribe, I hope to see much more from Cosmological in the future.

Number 5: Robert Lester “Cults and Context – a response to Cult Apologists”

Robert Lester has become one of my favorite Youtubers over the last few months. His videos are full of information. In this video he speaks about the death of Max Spiers a known conspiracy theories. Of course his death has spawned even more conspiracy theories.

Number 4: No Sacred Cows “Ten Questions For White Nationalist”

This video appears for two reasons. 1.) It poses some great questions that any White Nationalist should be forced to answer and 2.) I think he will be shocked to have made the list. I really did enjoy this video nonetheless.

Number 3: Anti-Ordinary “RE: WHAT IF THE EARTH IS FLAT?!”

Anti-Ordinary was included in last weeks article but in a video with Godless Engineer. This one is cheating a bit since it’s 6 days old but hey it’s my list and I only say it this week. She does a great job at picking apart the flat earth arguments and is pretty damn funny while doing it.

Number 2: Godless Engineer “Only Real Christians Believe Vigilant Christian Mario”

Godless Engineer Makes a second appearance in this video where he confronts a No True Scotsman fallacy head-on. I loved this video but I don’t know if I like his Beanie more… I gotta find out where he gets these because they are just awesome.

Number 1: Aron Ra “Systematic Classification of Life – ep20 Eucynodontia”

Okay, so I’m a science nut and AronRa is an absolute monster when it comes to explaining science. You get more information in a 12 minute video from AronRa than you do from some textbooks, which he is only too happy to point out. This is another series of videos so take some time and check it out.

Video Of The Week: Godless Cranium “The Indoctrination of the North American ‘Indian'”

If you want to watch a powerful video then look no further. I also have to say that I really learned some things that I didn’t know about the treatment of native tribes in both the US and Canada. This is a heartbreaking video and one that I think almost anyone should watch.

Well, those are the videos that I enjoyed the most this week. If you felt there was a video that I missed and should have been included, let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy these videos. If you aren’t subscribed to these channels and enjoy what you see, please subscribe. If you are able consider donating to some of the folks Patreons as well, creating content is time-consuming and of course, time equals money.

Fiction and Stories

Could You Be Neurotypical???

Just thought I’d create a list of some of the traits that people with neurotypicalism exhibit. It’s all satire so just have fun with it.
No one is sure what causes neurotypicalism. Doctors and scientists have long speculated on the cause of this dreaded condition. Some speculate it might be caused by vaccines, fluoride, or maybe their fathers wore too much cologne. While there is no cure for neurotypicalism, here is a list of 10 symptoms that might help you figure out if you or a loved one was born with this disorder.

1.) Extreme fear of silence

The neurotypical person will attempt by any means necessary to eradicate silence. It’s absolutely horrific to them. So realize, the next time an NT asks about the weather, it’s really a cry for help.

2.) Obsessed with doing things differently

“If it ain’t broke, why fix it” is not something an NT can accept. They constantly need new places to hang out, new foods to try, and new friends. Ask any NT about their day and it will be different from the day before.

3.) Eye Contact Issues

Many NT’s are incapable of conversation without seeing the other person’s eyes. This of course stems from fear that they will be attacked while talking about the weather. Not looking them in the eyes brings about fear, confusion, and sometimes anger.

4.) Constant need to be stylish

NTs will wear uncomfortable clothes and shoes in an effort to be stylish. They will then say something to the effect of, “these shoes were 300 dollars, I’m going to wear them no matter how bad they hurt.”

5.) NT’s are very fragile creatures

Without the strength that Autism gives us, NT’s spend much of their time asking for compliments and niceties. It’s been known that if an NT holds a door open and you forget to thank them for it, the NT will shrivel up and die. So try to say thank you.

6.) NT’s smell awful

They disguise this by wearing horrible overpowering perfumes and colognes. They will also stand as close to you as possible to make sure you know that they no longer stink.

7.) Deep Fear of Honesty

Warning: If an NT ever asks you for your honest opinion, turn around and run away. This is a trap they lay for truth tellers, step in and you may not step back out.

8.) Violent Creatures

Look at any game developed by an NT and you will find folks trying to hurt each other. Football, Baseball, wrestling, basketball, etc… Their deep need for violence also leads them take risks that no sane Autistic person would.

9.) Never Satisfied

NT’s will never be satisfied with a focused interest. They must have more cars, bigger houses, more friends. This collecting of meaningless trinkets only ends when the NT passes away.

10.) Unhealthy need to touch everything and move stuff

Know an NT long enough and they will touch everything you own, including you. They will take things off shelves and ask, Wouldn’t this look better here? Of course it wouldn’t but this won’t stop them from trying.
If you or a friend you know exhibit these traits, it could be Neurotypicalism. Consult with you yoga instructor or anyone you meet on the street. Neurotypicalism isn’t contagious but everyone will act like it is. Thank you for reading. A person with neurotypicalism can lead a fulfilling life, life is not over at diagnosis, it’s only a new beginning.
